Day One

It is now 6 p.m. in Perth (and Singapore) and what a tiring day we've had! There was hardly any sleep to be had on the plane and we can barely keep our eyes open now. Once we left the airport, everyone was amazed by how crisp, clean and cool the Aussie air was.
We then loaded our luggage onto the coach and travelled to the city centre. We had breakfast at MacDonald's (hotcakes and hashbrowns) and then immediately moved to our first destination of the day- King's Park. It was a gorgeous Botanical Park and we went on a 'tree top walk'. Mr Teo managed to keep up with the group, amazingly! :)
The weather then started to turn really warm and we proceeded to the hotel. But the rooms were still not ready for us to move in to, so we went to lunch at a Malay restaurant. We had chicken curry, sweet and sour fish, vegetables and fried egg. After lunch, some of us received keys to our rooms. At 1.30 p.m., we proceeded to the second destination of the day- The Scitech Discovery Centre, much like our own Science Centre. Everyone had fun playing with the interactive Science exhibits. We also watched an Omnimax film in the Planetarium.
After time at the Scitech Centre, we went to The Harbour Town factory outlets for a quick shopping spree. Most bought toys and bubble gum!
So now we are waiting to go to dinner at 6.30 p.m. Thanks to everyone who came to send us off last night. Hope you guys are having fun too in Singapore.
